On Wednesday, March 5, former Union Pines High School standout Mayson Dear’s current college team, the UNC Greensboro Spartans, lost 12-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Elon Phoenix.

The game took place at UNCG Baseball Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Phoenix this season.

The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 7 at 4 p.m. at UNCG Baseball Stadium against Radford Highlanders.
