Sheriff Ronnie Fields announces an arrest following a homicide in the Biscoe area of Moore County.
On February 9, 2023, at approximately 4:15 PM, Moore County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a shooting at 501 Sings Creek Lane, Biscoe, North Carolina, which is located within Moore County. Upon arriving deputies discovered Michael Gluck, age 52, who had been shot. Gluck was transported to Moore Regional Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Sheriff’s investigators located and detained the shooter, Craig Timothy Hicks, age 57, on scene.
It was determined that the shooting occurred following an altercation between Gluck and Hicks, who both resided at the residence on Sings Creek Lane.
Investigators charged Hicks with one count of first-degree murder, and he was committed to the Moore County Detention Center without bond pending a first court appearance on February 23, 2023, in Moore County District Court.
