WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (R-NC) joined 15 bipartisan co-sponsors to help introduce the Warrior Call Day resolution, which would designate November 12, 2023, as National Warrior Call Day. This would encourage all Americans to contact someone who has served or is currently serving, and connect struggling veterans with mental health services.
“In North Carolina, Veterans Day is not just one day a year—it is a year-long call to action,” said Rep. Hudson. “We must address the challenges Veterans face head-on by keeping our promises made to them for their service and addressing the stigma around seeking help. I encourage folks in our community and across the country to take National Warrior Call Day as an opportunity to check in on someone they know, active-duty or veteran.”
The Warrior Call Day Resolution was introduced by Rep. Derrick Van Orden (WI-3). Co-sponsors of the resolution include Reps. Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA), Ryan Zinke (R-MT), Wesley Hunt (R-TX), Monica De La Cruz (R-TX), Troy Nehls (R-TX), Morgan Luttrell (R-TX), Eli Crane (R-AZ), Rudy Yakym (R-IN), Ashley Hinson (R-IA), Derek Kilmer (D-WA), Abigail Spanberger (D-VA), Angie Craig (D-MN), Chris Pappas (D-NH), and Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC).
