On May 31, 2024, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (R-NC) joined Representative Roger Williams (R-TX) and other colleagues to introduce a resolution condemning the Biden Administration’s recent actions concerning Second Amendment rights. The resolution aims to reaffirm the House of Representatives’ support for the right to bear arms.

"President Biden and his radical gun grabbing bureaucrats are going to take away your right to keep and bear arms," said Rep. Hudson. "As a fierce defender of the Second Amendment, I'm proud to help lead the fight to stop them."

Joining Reps. Hudson and Williams in this effort are Reps. Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Byron Donalds (R-FL), Diana Harshbarger (R-TN), Randy Weber (R-TX), Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Ben Cline (R-VA), Ralph Norman (R-SC), Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ), Russell Fry (R-SC), Tim Walberg (R-MI), Dan Crenshaw (R-TX), Barry Moore (R-AL), Debbie Lesko (R-AZ), John Moolenaar (R-MI), Carol Miller (R-WV), and Greg Pence (R-IN).

This action follows the U.S. Department of Commerce's implementation on May 30, 2024, of a new rule that limits the commercial export of firearms. Additionally, in June 2023, Rep. Hudson voted against a new rule by the ATF that would reclassify stabilizing braces used by veterans for safer recreational shooting.

Supporting organizations include the National Rifle Association (NRA), the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the U.S. Concealed Carry Association (USCCA), the National Association for Gun Rights (NAGR), and The Heritage Foundation.
