U.S. Representative Richard Hudson of North Carolina's 9th District has expressed his condolences following the death of George Little, a prominent figure in Moore County. In a statement, Rep. Hudson highlighted Little's significant contributions to the community.

"Renee and I are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my dear friend George Little, a beloved leader and a pillar of Moore County," said Rep. Hudson. He noted that Little was dedicated to improving his community throughout his life. Among his achievements, Little founded an insurance business and played a vital role in economic development in Moore County.

Rep. Hudson also emphasized Little's commitment to Sandhills Community College, where he served as the longest-serving chair of any community college board in the nation. "George's leadership and vision helped transform the institution into what it is today," stated Hudson.

Reflecting on their long-standing relationship, Rep. Hudson recalled meeting Little three decades ago when he was an intern at the North Carolina Republican Party. "Nobody loved the Republican Party more than George Little," he remarked, acknowledging Little's service to both the party and several Republican governors over many years.

Hudson extended his sympathies to Little's family and friends: "We join the Moore County community in praying for Wanda and the entire family, and all who knew and loved him." He concluded by honoring Little's legacy: "George's incredible legacy of service, his infectious sense of humor, and his positive outlook on life will never be forgotten."

Little is remembered as one of Moore County’s most influential citizens whose efforts will have lasting impacts on the community.
