Moms for Liberty has endorsed Robert M. Levy in his race for re-election to his seat on the Moore County Board of Education, representing District II. Early voting began on October 17 and extends through November 2 for the November 5 general election.

Levy first joined the Moore County Board of Education in December 2020. He was elected to serve as chair in December 2022 and re-elected to that position in December 2024.

According to his website, one of Levy's top policy priorities is school choice, including both academic and vocational programs. He also emphasizes the importance of supporting alternative educational options, i.e. charter schools, homeschooling, and digital learning, which will enable families to choose what works best for them. Additionally, Levy calls for regular financial audits to ensure that tax dollars are being spent appropriately and responsibly.

Levy holds a BA in history and sociology from UNC-Chapel Hill. For 40 years, he was a practicing attorney in both California and Maryland, focusing on family law and criminal law, and during this time, he was able to help both juvenile delinquents and abused children. He is a former columnist for The Pilot Newspaper in Southern Pines as well as a former chair of the Moore County GOP.

He also earned a teaching certificate from UNC-Charlotte, and he taught social studies at a number of middle schools and high schools throughout Moore County, where he also grew up. He and his wife Linda have three children as well as grandchildren.

Per the Moore County Board of Education, the Board comprises seven members (five members who each represent one district, and two at-large members). Terms are four years and staggered so that three or four members are elected every two years.

Moms for Liberty is a parental-rights-in-education advocacy group founded by Tiffany Justice and Tina Descovich, two former school board members. According to their website, "Moms for Liberty is dedicated to fighting for the survival of America by unifying, educating and empowering parents to defend their parental rights at all levels of government."
