Today, Representative Richard Hudson (R-NC) expressed his support for Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), who has been elected to continue as the 56th Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives in the 119th Congress.
"On Election Day, the American people delivered a resounding mandate - a mandate to get our country back on track," said Rep. Hudson. He praised Johnson as "a good man, a strong conservative, and has been an outstanding Speaker of the House." Hudson emphasized Johnson's service with "unwavering faith, integrity, and respect for this institution."
Hudson also mentioned that he believes Johnson is the leader needed to advance former President Donald Trump's agenda and fulfill promises made to Americans. He stated his confidence that with Johnson leading, the House Republican majority will be able to deliver on their commitments. "Let's get to work," he concluded.
