Congressman Richard Hudson has announced that his Southern Pines and Fayetteville offices are now accepting submissions for the 2025 Congressional Art Competition. The competition is open to high school students in North Carolina's Ninth District.
"The Congressional Art Competition is a wonderful opportunity for our District’s high school students to showcase their artistic ability, and I look forward to seeing this year’s submissions," said Rep. Hudson.
The winner of the district's competition will have their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year. The second and third place winners will have their artwork shown in Rep. Hudson's offices.
Entries must be original in concept, design, and execution, adhering to U.S. copyright laws. They cannot be copied from existing photos or images created by others, nor can they be scanned reproductions of paintings or drawings. AI-generated art is not accepted.
Framing of the submitted artwork is not required as the winning piece will be framed before being sent to Washington, D.C. A panel will determine if any artwork is inappropriate for display at the Capitol.

Submissions must be delivered to Rep. Hudson's Southern Pines or Fayetteville District Offices by noon on Friday, April 25, 2025, along with a completed 2025 Student Release Form.
