Town of Aberdeen issued the following announcement on Jan. 26.
**CLOSURE UPDATE**
Due to the weather that the area experienced, the maintenance on the railroad crossings has been pushed back a week. The crossings will be closed beginning Monday, January 31st.
CSX will be doing maintenance on the railroad crossings in Downtown Aberdeen beginning January 31st. Each crossing is scheduled to be closed for 2-5 days while the maintenance is performed (weather permitting). Make sure to plan accordingly for travel.
The schedule for the crossing closures is:
- Midway Rd. (near N. Sycamore St.) - Closing on/around Jan 31
- W. Maple Ave. (btw N. Sycamore St. and N. Pine St.) - Closing on/around Jan 31
- Main St. (btw N. Sycamore St. and N. Pine St.) - Closing on/around Jan 31
- South St. (btw N. Sycamore St. and N. Pine St.) - Closing will occur after several of the above crossings are open.
