Village of Pinehurst Fire Department issued the following announcement on July 22.
The Village of Pinehurst Fire Department has received Reaccredited Agency status with the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) for meeting the criteria established through the CFAI’s voluntary self-assessment and accreditation program.
Pinehurst Fire Department is one of more than 250 agencies, 22 of which are in North Carolina, to achieve Internationally Accredited Agency status with the CFAI and the Center for Public Safety Excellence, Inc. (CPSE).
The CFAI process is voluntary and provides an improvement model to assess service delivery and internal performance. Pinehurst Fire Department then worked with a team of peers from other agencies to evaluate the completed self-assessment.
“This achievement demonstrates the commitment of the Pinehurst Fire Department to provide the highest quality of service to our community,” said Village Manager Jeff Sanborn.
CFAI is dedicated to assisting the fire and emergency service agencies throughout the world in achieving excellence through self-assessment. This accreditation provides continuous quality improvement and enhances service delivery in communities.
“We have been able to use the CFAI Accreditation process as a proactive mechanism to plan for the future of our agency and locate areas where we can improve on the quality of the services we provide,” said Fire Chief Carlton Cole. “I commend the men and women of our department for their dedication and commitment to continuous improvement.”
