Town of Troy recently issued the following announcement.

This event, always held the Wednesday before Thanksgiving Day, begins at 5:30 PM. The trees along North & East Main Street are strung with lights. Lighted Snowflakes are installed on South & West Main Street to make Troy a "Christmas Town". Hot Chocolate, Cookies & other surprises are provided by the Town of Troy Board of Commissioners & door prizes are provided by area businesses. We also have fantastic food trucks near Town Hall! Santa Claus & Mrs. Claus make an appearance for the children & lead the countdown to illuminate our hometown with lights & the spirit of the holidays!
