Moore County issued the following announcement on Jan. 20.
COVID-19 testing will be offered five days a week at the Moore County Health Department (705 Pinehurst Ave., Carthage) starting on Monday, January 24th. Testing is open to the general public with no appointment, no out of pocket costs, and no physician referral required. Operating hours will be as follows:
- Monday-Thursday – 9:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m.
- Friday – 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Testing will be offered in the Health Department’s parking lot and will be completely drive-thru only. All testing participants are instructed to remain in their vehicle throughout the testing process.
If you have symptoms of COVID-19 or think you may have COVID, you should stay away from others, wear a mask, and
get tested.
